At MyWorkChoice, we value offering workers the flexibility to choose their work schedule, however, we're counting on you to be reliable and show up to the shifts you've scheduled.

Excessive shift drops, no-call no-shows, and last-minute drops impact others' ability to start new work opportunities. These actions will result in a temporary restriction, during which you won’t be able to schedule shifts in the app and work.

Here's What You Should Know:

πŸ‘‰ First Shift Attendance Guidelines

These guidelines apply to the following shifts:

  • Pre-screen Interviews - pre-employment in-person interviews to assess skill level and qualifications for the job

  • Forklift Observations - pre-employment in-person session to assess forklift skill level and qualifications for the job

  • Drug Screening Appointments - pre-employment drug screening

  • Orientation session - the initial session through which new employees are introduced to the job, workplace & company culture

  • First Day scheduled to work - the first day of your official assignment

What counts as an missed shift?

  • No Call No Show

  • Last Minute Drop of shift (within 6 hours of start time)

  • Any Dropped shift

πŸ‘‰ Restriction Duration

A restriction is meant to emphasize the importance of scheduling shifts you can work and not preventing others from openings to work.

  • 1st Restriction: 6-month restriction from scheduling any shift after 3 attendance strikes.

  • 2nd Restriction: 1-year restriction from scheduling any shift after 3 additional attendance strikes.

Please Note: Any future restrictions will be for a 1-year period.

πŸ‘‰ How to Avoid Shift Restrictions

We want to help you keep scheduling shifts without restrictions. Follow these steps to stay in the green:

Choose Wisely: Every shift you schedule counts. Only schedule the shifts you're sure you can attend.

Drop Shifts Early: We understand life happens. If you can't make a shift, please drop it ASAP in the app.

Plan Ahead: Review your upcoming shift and adjust your schedule early to prevent a No Call, No Show.

Following these steps helps you avoid shift restrictions while maintaining a high Reliability Rating. This keeps you in the green and opens up more shift options.

Our team is counting on you! The flexibility we give workers comes with the responsibility to schedule shifts you're committed to working. These First Day Attendance Guidelines help keep a fair work environment for everyone on the team.
