πŸ‘‰ What You NEED to Know for Your First Day

Please review this information carefully so that you're prepared to work at this Silgan Dispensing facility.

Be prepared for a drug screen and a 1-2 hour safety orientation on your first shift. You must provide a valid ID before the drug screening. *Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled shift.*

Please note that once you enter the building for your first day, you are not allowed to leave due to the drug screening process. Exiting the facility at any point during this process will be considered a drug screen refusal, and you will not be able to reapply for six months.

Remember, working at this facility is conditional upon first-day drug screening and meeting background requirements.

*Training for this position will be conducted in English. Due to safety and training purposes, all candidates must have a basic understanding of English both written and oral.*

Here's the Dress Code:

  • Steel-toed shoes are REQUIRED - You will NOT be allowed to work your 1st shift without them.

  • NO CELL PHONES ARE ALLOWED ON PRODUCTION FLOOR.

  • No excessively loose or tight clothing (including leggings, yoga pants, etc)

  • No clothing that shows excessive skin is allowed (including tank tops)

  • Long pants are required.

  • No shorts or hats are allowed.

  • No clothing with inappropriate language or graphics is permitted.

  • Jewelry such as necklaces, rings, watches, bracelets, facial piercings, etc. are NOT permitted.

  • No food and drinks are allowed in production areas. Including gum and candy.

How to Check-In Using the App πŸ“±

Before starting your shift we need to know you're present in the facility and ready to work your shift. Check-in using the MyWorkChoice app by following these step-by-step instructions.

If you have any technical issues please contact your Community Manager.


First, open your app while onsite, and on the dashboard, you'll see your upcoming shift. Select the "check-in" green button.

After you "check-in" you'll see a confirmation screen shown.


Common Questions & Answers:

Q: You don't see your scheduled shift on the home screen in the MyWorkChoice app?

A: Please reach out directly to your Community Manager.

Q: You're not able to check in?

A: Make sure your location service is turned on for the MyWorkChoice app or make sure you're within the radius of the check-in area.


πŸ‘‰ Choosing Your Shifts

At MyWorkChoice, you have the freedom to pick & choose your shifts. But remember, this choice comes with responsibility. Your decisions impact your Reliability Rating, which reflects your commitment and reliability based on the shifts you schedule and successfully work. The higher your rating, the more shift choices you get.

When choosing your shifts, remember to:

  • Commit to Your Shifts: Only schedule shifts you can work.

  • Drop Shifts ASAP if Needed: If you can’t make it, drop the shift in the app as soon as possible. (Note: Dropping shifts will impact your rating)

Following these guidelines ensures a high Reliability Rating and more shift choices. Failing to follow them not only impacts your rating and shift opportunities but may also lead to shift restrictions.

How to Schedule Your Next Shifts

When you complete your first training shift, within 12 hours you'll be able to view and select upcoming shifts in the app. If you're not seeing any shifts please contact your Community Manager, Bailey.

Login to the MyWorkChoice app and select the green money sign "My Shifts" and go to available.

πŸ‘‰ When Shifts are Posted in the App

Shift schedules for Silgan Dispensing are posted in the MyWorkChoice app every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. EST. *Please note your Reliability Rating will determine your ability to pick up shifts as soon as they are posted in the app.*

Once shifts are posted in the app we send a push notification to all our workers. (See below for an example).

Pro tip: Make sure to turn on your push notifications so that you're notified when shifts post in the app so that you can pick up the shifts you want before they fill up.
