Starting August 7th, we're making updates to shift restrictions. These updates aim to limit the frequency of dropped shifts, ensuring everyone gets their fair share of work/shift opportunities.
One of the many perks of being a part of the MyWorkChoice team is our unique scheduling freedom - it's YOU who decides when to work! Our team is counting on you to show up to your shift, and picking up multiple shifts and then later dropping them takes away chances for others who could have worked.
Here are the updates you need to know:
Excessive Dropping within 30 days:
Excessive dropped shifts will result in the following:
5 drops - reminder text that your drops are becoming excessive.
7 drops will trigger a verbal/text warning.
After 9 drops, a second warning will be issued & notify of potential shift restriction.
More than 10 drops could result in a 14-day shift restriction.
Repeated shift restrictions may lead to removal from the community.
Note: Drops due to vacations or system & admin errors are not included. Employees who excessively drop for a week due to vacation will be dealt with separately.
Multiple No Call No Shows within 180 days:
Not showing up to your shift and not dropping it in the app is considered a No Call, No Show. No Call No Shows will result in the following:
After the first occurrence- reminder text to always drop your shift in the app when you can't make it.
After the second occurrence - verbal/text warning will be issued.
The third occurrence will lead to a 14-day shift restriction.
After the fourth occurrence, the employee will be removed from the community for 6 months.
Repeated shift restrictions may lead to removal from the community.
Excessive Dropping Less than 3 Hours Notice within 30 days:
Shifts dropped within 3 hours of the shift start time will result in the following:
The first occurrence - reminder text to drop with more notice.
The second occurrence - verbal/text warning.
The third occurrence - final warning with the potential for shift restriction.
The fourth occurrence - review for 14-day shift restriction.
Repeated shift restrictions may lead to removal from the community.
