πŸ‘‰ What You NEED to Know for Your First Day

Please review this information carefully so that you're prepared to work at this SBD facility.

Remember, working at this facility is conditional upon first-day drug screening and meeting background requirements.

To make your 1st day smooth, here's a quick checklist:

βœ… Arrive at least 15 minutes early before your scheduled shift.

βœ… Bring a valid photo ID for check-in.

βœ… Wear steel-toed shoes - these are required.

βœ… Be prepared for a safety orientation & on the job training.

Here's the Dress Code:

  • Steel-toed shoes are REQUIRED - You will NOT be allowed to work your 1st shift without them.

  • Standard warehouse attire is appropriate.

    • No tight clothing nor extremely loose/baggy clothing is allowed.

    • No spandex, mesh shirts, and midriff shirts.

    • No ripped or dangling jeans.

    • Pajamas or slippers are prohibited.

  • All items of clothing must be clean and in good repair. (Frayed clothing, strained, or torn clothing are not acceptable).

  • Neat grooming and good personal hygiene is required.

    • Hair and beards must be tied up if below the shoulders.

  • Dangling jewelry and hoop earrings are not permitted.

  • Hearing protection

Here's how to upload a photo to your MyWorkChoice profile:

Go to Account > Profile > Click on the Pencil Icon on the Top Right > Click Upload Photo

You can choose an image from your camera or gallery. (Make sure to give MyWorkChoice access to your camera).


πŸ‘‰ Directions to the SBD Facility

Where to Park:

The employee parking lot is located just as you pull into the facility to the left. Please be sure to only park in the designated parking areas. (Reference photo below).

Where to Enter into Building:

On your first day, enter the building through the front entrance located near the employee parking. (Reference photos below). Use the turnstile on the far right and hit the button to be let in. Let them know you are there for orientation with MyWorkChoice .

πŸ‘‰ How to Check-In

*Please note: Check-In before every shift is mandatory - failure to do so will lead to corrective action that may result in termination.

Go to the MyWorkChoice Check-In tablet at the facility and enter your MWC timeclock pin located on your MyWorkChoice Mobile App dashboard.

Once you've logged in, click the blue "Check In" button next to your shift.

After you "check-in" you'll see a confirmation screen shown. Be sure to log out of the tablet once you're finished.

Once you've checked in, please be sure to clock in using SBD's time clock. Failure to clock in and out of your shifts may result in not getting paid correctly. (We don't want that)!



πŸ‘‰ How to Call In

If you’re going to be late or can’t make it to your shift, make sure to let Stanley Black & Decker know at least 2 hours before your shift starts. Here’s what to do:

  1. Call 1 (800) 878-9309

    • Leave a message in the call-in mailbox.

  2. Details to include:

    • Leave your first and last name

    • Say you're with MyWorkChoice

    • Explain why you're late or missing your shift

    • Say how long you'll be out

  3. Drop the shift in the app:

    • Open the app and go to "My Shifts" then "Upcoming"

    • Follow the steps to drop your shift
