π Choosing Your Shifts
At MyWorkChoice, you have the freedom to pick & choose your shifts. But remember, this choice comes with responsibility. Your decisions impact your Reliability Rating, which reflects your commitment and reliability based on the shifts you schedule and successfully work. The higher your rating, the more shift choices you get.
When choosing your shifts, remember to:
Commit to Your Shifts: Only schedule shifts you can work.
Drop Shifts ASAP if Needed: If you canβt make it, drop the shift in the app as soon as possible. (Note: Dropping shifts will impact your rating)
Following these guidelines ensures a high Reliability Rating and more shift choices. Failing to follow them not only impacts your rating and shift opportunities but may also lead to shift restrictions.
π For more details, check out the Reliability Rating and Shift Restriction Guidelines & Violations articles.
When Shifts are Posted in the App
Shift schedules for General Electric/Roper are posted in the MyWorkChoice app every Saturday at noon EST. *Please note your Reliability Rating will determine your ability to pick up shifts as soon as they are posted in the app.*
Once shifts are posted in the app we send a push notification to all our workers. (See below for an example).
Pro tip: Make sure to turn on your push notifications so that you're notified when shifts post in the app so that you can pick up the shifts you want before they fill up.
How to Schedule Your Next Shifts
When you complete your first training shift, you must complete a health assessment, after which you'll be able to view and select upcoming shifts in the app. If you're not seeing any shifts please contact your Community Director, Kasandra. You may also contact your Community Leader, Amber.
Login to the MyWorkChoice app and select the green money sign "My Shifts" and go to available.
*Please note this is an example screen of what available shifts look like.*
π How to Clock-In
*Please note: Clocking in before every shift is mandatory - failure to do so will lead to corrective action that may result in termination.
First login to the MyWorkChoice app and find your "timeclock pin" which will be on the home screen under your name and Reliability Rating in a blue box. (Reference below).
We have 7 timeclock kiosks throughout the GE Appliances facility. They are located in the following areas -
Entrance door by the yellow stairs
Fab and Finish area on the blue wall to the right
Entrance door by engineering building (for counter units and Line 7/8)
End of line 3j, close to line 5
First pole on left in the main aisle at Line 0/1
On a pole in the middle of Line 2
Close to HR and Cafeteria near the bathrooms
Please feel free to use any time clock that works best for your location.
Go to a MyWorkChoice kiosk tablet in the facility, enter your timeclock pin, and click "login."
Next, select the green button that says "clock in" on the right side of the screen.
Once you select "clock in" the next screen will include shift details. Select the green button "start shift" and that will officially clock you in.
You'll be able to confirm you're clocked in by seeing the timer start and a red button on the top right of the screen that says "end shift."
Once you've successfully clocked in, select the "sign out" button located on the bottom left of the screen below your employee info and name.
Clocking out is a similar process to clocking in. Please review these step-by-step instructions on how to clock out for a break and when your shift ends.
Please Note: Following our timeclock rules is important to keep operations running smoothly. Failure to follow our timeclock guidelines will lead to Time Clock Violations, which could result in a temporary shift restriction.
