Scheduling shifts in the MyWorkChoice app is one of the most important things you'll need to know about the app so that you can get choose your work schedule!

Follow these step-by-step instructions on how to schedule your shifts.

If you have any questions about how to schedule your shifts or can't see any shifts in the app we are here to help. Send us a chat message.

Choosing Your Shifts

At MyWorkChoice, you have the freedom to pick & choose your shifts. But remember, this choice comes with responsibility. Your decisions impact your Reliability Rating, which reflects your commitment and reliability based on the shifts you schedule and successfully work. The higher your rating, the more shift choices you get.

When choosing your shifts, remember to:

  • Commit to Your Shifts: Only schedule shifts you can work.

  • Drop Shifts ASAP if Needed: If you can’t make it, drop the shift in the app as soon as possible. (Note: Dropping shifts will impact your rating)

Following these guidelines ensures a high Reliability Rating and more shift choices. Failing to follow them not only impacts your rating and shift opportunities but may also lead to shift restrictions.

How to Drop a Shift

We understand life happens and that sometimes you can't work a shift. The perk of working for MyWorkChoice is that we don't have an attendance policy - YOU choose when you work.

However, when you can't make your shift please drop it as soon as possible. Dropping your shift notifies your Community Director and will give other workers the opportunity to pick up the shift.

Please note: Dropping a shift will decrease your Reliability Rating and may affect your access to select future shifts. We encourage you to review all the details about our Reliability Rating and how it works.

Instructions on How to Drop Your Shift

First, log in to the app and click on "My Shifts" and select "Upcoming."

Select the shift you need to drop, then select "Drop Shift."

Next, confirm this is the shift you'd like to drop. If so, select "drop."

After you select "Drop" you will be brought to this screen that will tell you if your Reliability Rating will be impacted.

After, selecting "drop" on the previous screen you'll see this confirmation message that your shift was dropped and to schedule your next shift(s).

You'll be taken back to "Upcoming" shifts, where you'll be able to see the dropped shift.
